The former American CIA agent, democrat, and novelist, Valerie Elise Plame Wilson aka Valerie Plame was born on August 13, 1963, in Anchorage, Alaska, U.S. She was born to mother, Diane McClintock, and father, Samuel Plame III. Her last name Plame' originates from her paternal grandfather who had immigrated from Ukraine.
As an ex-CIA officer, we bet she must have earned quite some income, and Valerie Plame's net worth must be grand. She is the ex-wife of the deceased U.S diplomat, Joseph Wilson and the former couple were married for nearly two decades. Valerie Plame Wilson is also a mother of twins, Samantha Finnell Diana Wilson, and Trevor Rolph Wilson.
Although we don't specifically know Valerie Plame Wilson's net worth, we are pretty sure that working for the U.S Central Intelligence Agency must have earned her a good sum of money. Besides, she also is a novelist and has published a few books.
As an author, Valerie wrote three books named Burned and Blowback and the best-selling memoir with her demised ex-husband, Joseph C. Wilson named Fair Game: My Life as a Spy, My Betrayal by the White House (2007). Moreover, a biographical feature film with the same name as the book was produced in 2010 based on the memoir. With her book being so desirable and prominent, we are pretty sure she must have earned a massive fortune from it.
Valerie Plame Wilson graduated from Pennsylvania State University with B.A degree in advertising, from London School of Economics with MSc and from College of Europe, Bruges with another MA. Plame joined the C.I.A. as a recruit in 1985. Further details about Plame's professional career as a CIA agent are still classified, but it is reported that she worked for the CIA in a non-official cover capacity relating to counter-proliferation.
Wilson came into the spotlight after being the subject of the 2003 Plame affair, also known as the CIA leak scandal. Plame's identity during her career as CIA officer was leaked and subsequently published by Robert Novak in the Washington Post. After her identity was exposed by the officials in Bush's administration, she left the CIA and stated that she could no longer perform the work for which she had been highly trained.
As seen on her website, Valerie Plame is also a Democrat for Congress representing Northern New Mexico in the Democratic Congressional Representative. To improve national security, health care, and women's rights, she has also released a video on YouTube named "Undercover."
Apart from that, Valerie has been part of many political disputes and controversies. For instance, in 2002 she was accused of nepotism when she reportedly selected her husband for a CIA fact-finding trip to Niger to confirm on the doubts surrounding Iraq's Uranium Purchase in the 1990s from Niger. However later, she denied the claim stating she had never made the decision.
Marriage, Husband, and Children
After graduating from Penn State in 1985, Valerie married Todd Sesler but the marriage ended in divorce in 1989. In 1997, while working for the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), Plame met her former husband Joseph C. Wilson and the ex-couple were married on April 3, 1998. They also welcomed two kids named Samantha Finnell Diana Wilson and Trevor Rolph Wilson. Unfortunately, the marriage ended in divorce in 2017.
Tragically, Valerie Plame's ex-husband, Joseph Wilson, passed away on September 27, 2019, due to organ failure. He was an American Diplomat who had publicly challenged the reasoning behind President George W. Bush's invasion of Iraq. As stated earlier, Joseph was married to his wife, Valerie Plame for nearly two decades.
As of now, it looks like Valerie isn't in a relationship and is keeping the details of her personal life away from the spotlight. Taking a look at her Instagram, its quite evident that she is still actively involved in politics and also majorly focused on her career.
