Due to her grandfather's job as a diplomat, her family moved to Washington, D.C., when she was just 4-years-old. Then at age 9, her mother moved to Miami with her and her brother. She has got a total of two siblings, a brother named Kris Behrens, and a sister named Cesly Behrens.

After working as an actress in many TV series and movies for many years, Yeniffer decided that she wanted to try her hand in making movies and started her own production company with her partners. She is currently involved in many projects both in front and behind the camera.
